This document serves as an annual update on the Quincy School District's 'Successful Students Today, Bright Futures Tomorrow' Strategic Plan. The plan focuses on five strategic objectives: ensuring a strong start for early learners, cultivating a culture of safety and belonging, providing rigorous and relevant learning experiences, promoting growth and mastery in priority standards, and developing pathways for graduation and beyond. Intended outcomes include enhanced academic achievement, improved student wellness, increased inclusivity for all learners, and preparation for future success in college and careers.

The Quincy School District's 'Graduate Profile' is a strategic initiative developed with community input to define the essential skills and competencies for student success beyond high school. It aims to cultivate students as Skilled Creators, Collaborators, Visionaries, and Agents of Change. The plan's overarching goal is to empower each student to achieve academic excellence and graduate prepared for a successful future as an engaged and productive citizen.

This document serves as the Quincy School District's Annual Update for the 'Successful Students Today, Bright Futures Tomorrow' Strategic Plan, currently in its third year of implementation. The plan is structured around five strategic goals: ensuring early learners start strong, fostering a culture of safety and belonging, providing rigorous and relevant learning experiences through innovative and inclusive instruction, promoting growth and mastery of priority academic standards, and establishing clear pathways to graduation and beyond. The overarching vision is to build a school system that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all learners, expands educational opportunities, and strengthens community connections.

The board meeting included the approval of agenda amendments and consent agenda items. Key reports were presented regarding CTE Pathways, the Multilingual Learner program, food services, superintendent updates, and student representation. Several policies and procedures related to oath of office, program compliance, counseling, discrimination-free workplace, and construction requirements were presented for first and second readings. Additionally, a presentation was given on the benefits of bond refinancing, and the board held an executive session for the purpose of reviewing a public employee.

The board meeting featured a preview of the upcoming theater production of Footloose by students, as well as an update on the Microsoft Elevate initiative. The board conducted a second reading of proposed policy revisions regarding workplace discrimination procedures. Additionally, a work session was held to review the Quincy School District facilities matrix.
