This Campus Improvement Plan for Bay City Junior High outlines strategies for the 2026-2027 academic year, also serving as the Local Improvement Plan in response to a 2026 Additional Targeted Support (ATS) designation. The plan is structured around four main goals: strengthening family and community partnerships to support student success, fostering a safe and supportive school culture, enhancing instructional practices to boost academic achievement for all students, and specifically increasing academic achievement and growth for ATS-identified student groups (Hispanic, Current Special Education, and Continuously Enrolled students) through targeted interventions and monitoring. The overarching vision is to equip all learners to pursue limitless futures in an ever-changing, global society.
The board meeting featured a celebration of excellence recognizing AP Spanish students for their academic achievements. The board reviewed the 2026 District Improvement Plan, which outlines strategic goals for academic growth, positive school culture, technology integration, student learning, and staff development. Additionally, the district presented an analysis of the TEA 2026 A-F accountability ratings, detailing performance domains, closing achievement gaps, and metrics regarding kindergarten readiness and college, career, and military readiness (CCMR).
The Bay City Independent School District's 2026-2027 District Improvement Plan outlines a comprehensive roadmap to equip all learners for limitless futures.
