Significant discussion took place regarding the city's annual budget in light of a new state moratorium on property tax reappraisals, which necessitates potential tax rate adjustments. Additionally, the Council discussed potential future impacts of constitutional amendments related to property tax levy limits and explored the possibility of adopting a special separation allowance for firefighters, noting that other municipalities have begun implementing such benefits.

The committee meeting addressed several key transportation initiatives. Discussions included the split allocation of FY27 FTA Section 5307 funds to partner agencies and the approval of amendments to the 2026-2035 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program to reflect project delivery schedule changes. The commission addressed a comprehensive zoning map amendment project involving the rezoning of several parcels to remove outdated and obsolete zoning conditions.
