The major focus of the Standards Committee involved the recertification applications for the Bergen County, Cape May County, Gloucester County, Monmouth County, Morris County, Passaic County, John H. Stamler Police, and Newark Police Academies, all of which were approved with various stipulations regarding class limits and program authorization. The Commission also handled the tabling of the Behavioral Crisis Intervention and De-Escalation topic and tabled a request from the Sheriff's Association to study physical conditioning data. Updates were provided on the Law Enforcement Officers Training and Equipment Fund (LEOTEF) and recent legal matters.
