Eau Claire School Board Minutes
The Eau Claire School Board meeting included recognition of Dr. Marquell Johnson for his service and contributions to the ECASD, as well as recognition of Manz Elementary for their Updated Mission and Vision. Citizens addressed the Board on the importance of the Chippewa Valley Montessori Charter School education and the need for a Hmong liaison and advocate. The Superintendent's Consent Agenda was approved, covering human resources, gifts, payment of bills, the District 10-Year Capital Improvement Plan, preliminary notice of non-renewal for limited-term contracts, and authorization for the Executive Director of Human Resources. The Board's Consent Agenda included approval of minutes from the April 7, 2025 meeting, health, dental, and vision insurance renewal rates, and a new optional employee benefit for accident and critical illness. The ECASD Supportive Learning Environment framework was presented, focusing on engagement, safety, and environment, and the Student Climate Survey results were shared. Monitoring reports for Communication with the Board and Facilities were presented and accepted. Elected School Board Members took the Oath of Office.
