Transparency efforts, such as creating an FAQ page for parents, were planned.

The committee discussed responses to inquiries received from the full SHAC, established plans for leading the upcoming presentation, reviewed the timeline for remaining work, and initiated preparations for the Board packet and presentation materials.

The committee meeting focused on reviewing and approving edits to the 7th-grade curriculum, specifically focusing on Lessons 2 and 3. Discussions included the rewording of teacher scripts regarding sexual education terminology, modifications to student materials, and adjustments to video transcripts to address the overall tone of the content. Action items were established for the next meeting, including further curriculum review and the development of a disclaimer regarding the context of teen parenthood. Additionally, the committee prepared for an upcoming Board of Trustees meeting where they will recommend 6th-grade lessons.
