The committee discussed the future Equal Employment Opportunity plan and collected feedback via a shared document. The members reviewed the list of organizations included in the current plan and explored methods for distributing information to these entities, such as email and mail. Additionally, the committee reviewed draft notices intended for community partners and held a discussion regarding the frequency of future meetings.

The council discussed the proposed governance structure revisions, specifically the potential consolidation of councils and the intentional separation of governance work from operational tasks. Key agenda items included the integration of Starfish and Canvas, the evaluation of the Name Coach tool to assist with name pronunciation and personal pronouns, and status reports from the AB 705 workgroup regarding gateway course definitions and support services. Further discussions covered updates on Guided Pathways, Learning Outcomes, Curriculum approval processes, professional development equity initiatives, and strategic planning council developments, including the drafting of a Land Acknowledgment Statement.

The council focused on finalizing and approving goals for the 2024-25 academic year, including initiatives for technology refresh processes, procurement clarification, intranet development, and facilities assessment. Discussion occurred regarding the installation of emergency notification devices in noisy instructional areas. The meeting also included updates from various committees, covering the upcoming Request for Proposal process for food services, sustainability ratings and future goals, software procurement and the creation of an AI Task Force, facilities committee progress, and developments regarding Zoom pods and campus wayfinding signage.

The Taskforce approved several administrative procedures, including AP 2325 regarding teleconferenced meetings, AP 3100 concerning organizational structure, and both BP 2610 and AP 2610 regarding the presentation of initial collective bargaining proposals. Additionally, the meeting included a first reading and review of various Board Policies and Administrative Procedures, specifically those related to the delegation of authority, designation of authorized signatures, and student fees, with recommended edits discussed for clarity and consistency.

The council reviewed the 2023 Governance Survey Report and determined the process for developing and submitting next steps to the College Council. Standing committee reports included updates from the Budget Committee regarding fiscal and annual reports, recommendations from the PRP Resource Allocation Committee, and upcoming revisions. The Program Review and Resource Allocation Committee reported on the rankings process and identified potential projects suitable for State Scheduled Maintenance funding.
