The department director provided an update on the various divisions within the Child Advocacy and Juvenile Services department, including Guardians ad Litem, Juvenile Probation Officers, and Court Appointed Special Advocates. The presentation covered operational roles, performance metrics from the previous year, filing trends, and an overview of current initiatives such as education advocacy, trial skills training, digital transition, and the expansion of the Infant and Toddler Court Program.

The Board of Commissioners conducted a work session to address a wide range of administrative and operational contracts, including renewals for information technology, parks and recreation, sheriff's office, transportation, and water resources departments. Notable actions included the approval of several contract renewals, the awarding of new service contracts for management consulting, detention center upgrades, and various infrastructure improvements. Additionally, the board approved several appointments to local boards and authorities, the adoption of a Local Small Business definition, the acceptance of a grant for FIFA World Cup security activities, financial status reports, and various change orders for enterprise resource planning and software implementations. Legal items, such as condemnation proceedings and intergovernmental agreements, were also addressed.
