This strategic plan for the City of Leuk, spanning from 2027 to 2030, aims to guide the city's growth and meet community needs. It reinforces a vision for a great life, a caring community, and a thriving region, emphasizing the development of a connected community for all. The plan prioritizes safety, responsible growth, robust services, infrastructure development, and collaboration with community partners. Its implementation will inform future budgetary decisions, project planning, and investments.

The board discussed a variety of environmental initiatives and city projects. Key topics included the Land Use Bylaw updates and public hearing schedules, the seasonal opening of the Dr. Woods House Museum, and upcoming community events like Canada Day and Arbour Day. Administrative reports covered new staff hiring and conference participation. Unfinished business focused on actionable initiatives such as pollinator and pesticide management, natural asset workshops, community clean-up logistics, and ongoing monitoring of watershed health, tree protection policies, and multi-unit waste diversion. The board also reviewed a presentation for Council and discussed potential collaboration on the Bird-Friendly Municipality certification.

The Board approved the purchase of a branded pop-up tent to increase visibility at community events and confirmed its participation in upcoming community clean-up efforts organized by the Leduc Wildlife Conservation Society. Additionally, the Board reviewed reports concerning municipal budget updates, various environmental initiatives, and upcoming community workshops.
