Elko County Board of Commissioners Meeting Minutes
The Board meeting included the approval of a proclamation for the 40th annual Mining Expo, the renewal of the Nevada Public Agency Insurance Pool contract for Fiscal Year 2027, and several right-of-way vacation applications involving properties in Thorp Way, Mountain City, and Montrose Way. The Fire Protection District received approval for the Spring Creek Station #28 remodel project and the purchase of a 2009 HME Custom Pumper. The Sheriff's Office was granted funds for a headstone for 'Shafter Jane'. Additionally, the Board addressed updates to the Elko County Investment Policy, appointments to the Natural Resources Management Advisory Commission, an application for the National Park Service's Rivers, Trails & Conservation Assistance Program, revisions to the Lamoille Grove Use Policy, and a labor agreement with the Elko County Deputy Sheriff's Association.
