The Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) Elevate 2030 Strategic Plan outlines the organization's vision to prepare every student for a thriving future. Building on Vision 2025, the plan is structured around four core commitments: Learning and Achievement for All, Positive Climate and Culture, Family and Community Engagement, and Organizational Coherence. It integrates core values such as Equity, Inclusivity, Innovation, Integrity, Resilience, and Well-Being, focusing on global competency, personalized learning, and teacher empowerment to foster student success in a rapidly changing world.

The committee held a meeting to review and act on student disciplinary matters in a closed session. This included a parent appeal regarding a student hearing department reassignment, where the committee decided to deny the appeal, disapprove the initial hearing officer's decision, and set new conditions for the student's potential return to a traditional school. Additionally, the committee approved closed session consent agenda items.

The meeting included the approval of the meeting agenda, a vote to enter a closed session to discuss personnel matters, litigation, and security of school facilities, and a subsequent certification of the closed session. Appointments and releases of specific employees were approved. The board recognized student athletes and teams from across Prince William County Public Schools for earning state championships in indoor track and field, wrestling, girls basketball, and gymnastics during the winter season.

The board meeting included several key actions such as the approval of the meeting agenda, the authorization of legal counsel recommendations, and the convening of a closed session to discuss personnel matters, employee grievances, legal litigation, and security procedures. Following the closed session, the board certified its proceedings and moved to action items including appointments and releases of staff, an employee dismissal case, and a request for religious exemption. Additionally, the board recognized students for their achievements in a national writing contest, as National Merit finalists, and as Virginia nominees for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. The session also included a public comment period.

The meeting commenced with the approval of the agenda and subsequent entry into a closed session to discuss personnel matters, litigation, legal advice on policy, disciplinary matters for students, contract negotiations for real property acquisition, and security of school facilities. Upon returning to open session, the Board certified the closed session actions, which included approvals related to the appointment and release of specific employees, evaluation of the Ombudsman and goal setting, evaluation of the School Board Clerk, evaluation of Division Council, and approval of closed session consent agenda items. The Board recognized retirees with long-standing service, including Dr. Jocelyn Hart, Mr. Bill Bixby, and Ms. Rita Goss. Furthermore, the Board acknowledged several student and team athletic achievements in track and field, including state champions in shot put, pole vault, long jump, and the Class 6 state championship for the boys' track team from Patriot High School, as well as a national champion in the 800-meter run.
