Polk County Board Of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes
The Board recognized employees for years of service and heard public comments regarding healthcare funding. The Commission approved the issuance of Utility System Revenue Bonds to support utility expansion and confirmed the appointment of the Director of the Polk County Utilities Division. An interlocal agreement for improvements to McGee Park was authorized. The Board discussed and approved a response to a formal notice regarding CareerSource Polk, and authorized the removal of the CareerSource Polk executive director for cause. Various reappointments were made to the Polk County Historical Commission. Additionally, the Board conducted public hearings concerning land development code amendments and airport impact districts.
