Key objectives include minimizing waste to landfill, increasing accessibility and convenience for residents, optimizing operational cost-effectiveness, aligning with policy and legislation, integrating public input, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The plan proposes key recommendations such as year-round organics collection, improvements and expansion of the Waste Transfer Site, increased recycling capacity, and the eventual closure of the West End Recycling Facility.

The council discussed several administrative and development matters, including a presentation on an easement agreement for W's Edge Villas and a public hearing regarding bylaw 1953 2026, which involves the redesation of land in the 60 West neighborhood for a storm water facility and open space.
