The sub-committee reviewed the status of action items related to organizational goals for culture, recruitment, and retention, as well as goals concerning veteran hiring and Wisconsin Works. These objectives were finalized and incorporated into the overall Recruitment & Retention Plan. The committee officially approved the Recruitment & Retention Plan, including minor amendments, and authorized its submission to the Office of the Secretary.

The committee reviewed subcommittee reports regarding recruitment, retention, culture, and partners in giving programs. Key discussions included updates on the Battlefield Cross unveiling ceremony, review of New Employee Orientation documents, stay survey status, and the 2027-2029 Equity and Inclusion plan. New business topics covered the rollout of the Suicide Prevention and Prevention Environment initiative and information regarding the 27th State Council on Affirmative Action Impact Awards, including nomination categories and submission timelines.

The meeting agenda includes administrative and legislative updates, a report from the COVP Chair, and a report from the Board of Veterans Affairs Chair. Additionally, the agenda covers board member district reports, public comments, the election of officers, and the scheduling of future quarterly meeting dates.

The sub-committee reviewed the status of the E&I Plan, including feedback on action items from previous meetings. Members discussed and established goal recommendations for culture, recruitment, retention, veteran hires, and W2 Wisconsin Works, setting deadlines for subcommittee draft submissions and reviews by the full advisory committee and leadership. The meeting also addressed inquiries regarding employee assistance resources and proposed the initiation of new officer elections and updates to the by-laws for the upcoming plan year.

The meeting included discussions on organizational culture and participation in the NCAA Men's and Women's basketball brackets, specifically addressing the scope of staff outreach compared to previous years.
