The Clio Area Schools Board of Education held a meeting that included a closed session for a student discipline hearing. A presentation was given on student academic progress over the last five years. The board addressed a student discipline case, designating representatives for the GISD biennial election, and accepting multiple donations, including books and funds for the GSRP, meals for Clio High School teachers, and school supply items for Clio Intermediate.

The board held a special meeting to address the expulsion of a student. The student's permanent expulsion was approved, with conditions for potential re-admission in September 2025 including providing transcripts, attending therapy, and obtaining a psychiatrist's release. A structured behavior plan would be implemented upon re-admission.

The board meeting included accepting the resignation of an administrator, Brian Trebilcock, effective November 1, 2024. The board also approved the Emergency Operations Plan and authorized the 2025 Summer Tax Levy, which includes a 50% levy on properties in the City of Clio and Vienna Township, and a 100% levy on properties in Mount Morris Township.
