Additionally, the committee discussed upcoming awards, including nomination processes and the scheduled ceremony.

The board discussed and unanimously approved the fiscal year 2027 budget, which included allocations for security upgrades, staff compensation, and various operational costs. The meeting addressed concerns regarding the school district's funding, the impact of state-mandated costs on the budget, and the strategic direction of the school system. Additionally, the board unanimously approved the 2027 AFSCME tentative agreement.
