Georgetown Independent School District Board Of Trustees Regular Meeting
The Board meeting included the approval of election canvassing results and the administration of the Oath of Office to re-elected Trustees. Special recognitions were presented to the outgoing Board President, 2015-2016 Valedictorians and Salutatorians, and various students for academic and extracurricular achievements in robotics, fine arts, and athletics. The Board approved personnel selections for district teachers and administrators, including the appointment of new principals for Ford Elementary and Middle School #4. Additionally, the Board received a bond update, approved the contract award for the Forbes/Cooper pavement rehabilitation project, adopted board priorities for the 2016-2017 school year, initiated the process to become a District of Innovation, and adopted a Teacher Appreciation Proclamation. The meeting concluded with a reorganization of Board leadership positions.
