This document introduces the Ypsilanti Community Schools' new five-year Strategic Plan, which serves as a roadmap to achieve the "Portrait of a Graduate." The Board held a regular meeting that included a moment of silence for victims of a tragic incident in Uvalde, Texas. Achievements and points of pride for the Estabrook learning community were highlighted, covering areas such as early intervention programs, the buddy bench initiative, social-emotional learning, mentoring partnerships with Big Brothers Big Sisters, student math achievement, and multicultural programming. The Board also conducted recognitions for the 2020 Teacher of the Year and honored several retiring staff members for their years of service and dedication to the district.
