The Board of Trustees meeting featured a musical performance by the Chesnee Elementary School Honor Choir. Key agenda items included the recognition of the Upstate Region Counselor of the Year, the approval of a consent agenda, and a presentation by Chesnee Middle School regarding their visible learning journey. The school presented data on student academic proficiency and school climate, highlighting improvements in student achievement and satisfaction scores.

The committee reviewed the district's current Wellness Policy, discussing nutrition education, physical activity requirements, and the marketing of foods and beverages during the school day to ensure compliance with USDA Smart Snacks guidelines. Discussions also covered the nutritional content of school meals, the current status of dinner and snack programs at various elementary schools, and the upcoming Triennial Assessment of the Wellness Program. Additionally, the committee explored suggestions for wellness initiatives, including providing images of vending machine snacks, promoting school wellness events, and implementing employee health screenings.
