This document outlines the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) for the Cottonwood Union School District for the 2026-27 school year, detailing how state funds will be used to serve all students, with a particular focus on high-needs student groups. The plan addresses identified needs and aims to improve outcomes across eight state priority areas, including academic performance in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science; enhancing student attendance and reducing chronic absenteeism and suspensions; ensuring teacher credentialing; and providing targeted supports for Foster Youth, Homeless Youth, Special Education students, and English Learners. The overarching goal is to create a safe and supportive learning environment that enables academic and emotional thriving for all students and educators within the community.
