The Task Committee meeting included a review of the committee's scope of work and norms. Discussions covered the 26-27 and 27-28 school calendars, considering options like a 169-day calendar and adding a day off in April. The committee also addressed funding priorities, including movement along the salary schedule, continued education, health insurance, staff preschool tuition reduction, and district wellness programs. Additional topics included AMI days, snow days, budget outlook, and the DESE 1% calendar incentive.

The Republic School District has developed the Retina Ready plan to equip students with skills for future jobs, focusing on problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork. The plan aims to personalize education, integrate technology, and provide opportunities for students to connect learning to the real world, ensuring they have a competitive advantage.
