Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Fayetteville Meeting
The board held public hearings regarding the adoption of several international codes, including the 2024 editions of the Plumbing, Property Maintenance, Mechanical, Swimming Pool and Spa, Residential, and Life Safety codes, as well as the 2023 edition of the Electrical Code. Further business included an amendment to the permit fee schedule and a zoning district update. The Fayetteville Public Utilities CEO provided a comprehensive update on city-wide infrastructure projects, including water pipe installation, fire hydrant maintenance, and electrical/broadband improvements. Additionally, the Lincoln Health System CEO presented reports on hospital facility upgrades, including the procurement of a new MRI, ongoing maintenance at the Patrick, and recruitment updates regarding local health services.
