This Water Use and Preservation General Plan Element for Tooele County aims to consolidate resources and information on water use and conservation. The plan focuses on three main areas: Water Resources, Agricultural Protection, and Drinking Water, with specific desired outcomes including developing a water budget, reducing water demand and per capita use, eliminating wasteful water practices, minimizing the impact on the Great Salt Lake, achieving regional conservation goals, protecting agricultural areas, improving irrigation efficiency, diversifying water supply, and considering regionalization for water systems.

The Tooele County Active Transportation Implementation Plan provides a vision and tools for implementing safe and convenient conditions for walking, bicycling, and other active transportation modes. The plan focuses on creating connected networks and environments for all people to get around using self-propelled modes safely, setting the stage for more walkable and rideable communities. It builds upon the Tooele County General Plan and Transportation Plan, responding to the county's goals, assets, and challenges, including its rural character, high growth rate, and stakeholders. The plan is geographically focused on the unincorporated Tooele Valley, including Stansbury Park, Erda, and Lake Point, and includes strategies for integrating active transportation into new and improved facilities, building trunk routes, connecting key destinations, ensuring connected infrastructure in new developments, enabling safe pedestrian and cyclist activity, and increasing community support for active transportation.

The Tooele County General Plan Update 2016 is focused on helping the public understand the broad planning goals for the County and assisting decision-makers in evaluating future development and growth. The plan addresses land use and housing, aiming to meet the needs of changing demographics and modernize the general plan format. It focuses on directing future development to appropriate sites, conserving water resources, protecting open and sensitive lands, encouraging a wider range of housing, and improving Valley views.

The Tooele County General Plan outlines the goals, objectives, policies, and programs intended to support the county's development and vision. It addresses the changing needs of the county, serves as a guide for future development and growth, and establishes policies and goals that promote the desired quality of life for its citizens. The plan focuses on preserving open space, promoting diverse employment and business opportunities, ensuring safe transportation, protecting environmental quality, developing resources wisely, and providing reliable services. It also addresses noise and vibration concerns, particularly in the Midvalley Recreational and Technology Park area, and emphasizes the importance of protecting scenic views and coordinating water and wastewater systems.

The plan focuses on strategies for business retention, expansion, and attraction, emphasizing collaboration with local and regional partners. It addresses the need for green products, processes, and buildings, alongside strategies for inclusive economic development. Key findings from surveys and interviews highlight challenges such as water availability, infrastructure needs, and workforce commuting, while also identifying strengths like location and available land.
