The commission held a public hearing regarding a Class 4 Nonconforming Parcel Plan Review to remodel and construct an addition to a single-family residence, which was approved with specific findings and conditions related to zoning compliance, environmental impact, and site development. Additionally, the commission welcomed the new Interim Community Development Director.

The commission conducted a public hearing for the preliminary rezoning application PLN25-030 from A-1 to Garlen Garden PUD, which resulted in a motion to deny the request. Additionally, the Planning Director provided an update regarding recruitment efforts for the Planning Commission.

The commission reviewed the low attendance at the meeting and passed a motion to continue the proceedings to a special meeting scheduled for a later date.

The council conducted a series of wildfire ready scenario discussions covering topics such as community preparedness, evacuation readiness, public messaging, home hardening, and mitigation policies. The meeting also included an announcement of the 2026 Wildfire Mitigation Award recipient and provided updates from various partner agencies, including water management districts, fire departments, forest services, and local town councils regarding ongoing wildfire prevention, mitigation projects, and interagency cooperation efforts.
