The Region One ESC Board of Directors met to review and approve the recommendation of ROPC Professional Consultant Services RFP 23-0127 Extension 1 of 4, effective February 1, 2025 through January 31, 2026, with the option to extend up to three (3) additional one (1) year periods, if all parties are in agreement. It is important to bring the gaps to light so they can be discussed and come up with solutions on how to close these gaps for the community. Discussions on how to form partnerships or even career paths for students were held with different entities from the workforce to higher education to prek through 12.

Additionally, there were corrections and changes to the award for several bid items, including adjustments to the pricing for services provided by Richards Lindsay & Martin, LLP and The Princeton Review.
The Region One ESC Board of Directors met to discuss and approve the recommendations for the Child Nutrition Program -- South Texas Cooperative regarding dairy and juice products. They reviewed the proposals, vendor qualifications, and extension options for the CNP-STC Dairy and Juice Products Region 1 RFP. The board approved the utilization of the second of four one-year extension options for the awarded vendors, ensuring the continuation of competitively solicited contracts for fresh dairy and juice products to meet USDA requirements for nutritious student meals and snacks.
