The City Council approved several items, including contracts for Microsoft software, water utility meters and monitoring systems, professional services for the McNeil Road Extension Project, mental health consulting, and furniture purchases for the Bob Bennett Complex Expansion and Athletic Performance Center. The Council also addressed litigation regarding the Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant, approved a replacement vehicle for the Fire Department, and authorized projects for Mayfield Park and the Water Treatment Plant. Updates on local Round Rock preservation efforts were provided, including renovations at Palm Valley Lutheran Church, signage for the Samson house, the opening of the Lake Creek pathway, the acquisition of an original jail cell artifact, the demolition of dilapidated houses near the Stagecoach Inn for parking, and plans for cleanup at the abandoned Ganzer Cemetery. Additionally, demolition and refurbishment of the Johnson building facade near the water tower were mentioned.
