The committee discussed proposed updates to the township tree ordinance to align with replacement tree size standards. A presentation was provided by a representative from Duke Farms regarding the 'Connecting Habitat Across New Jersey' project, focusing on identifying key habitat corridors to mitigate the impact of urbanization on wildlife mobility. The committee explored the use of a mapping tool to guide future land preservation efforts and discussed potential funding matches available through Green Acres for projects that incorporate habitat connectivity planning.
