The Barton County Neighborhood Revitalization Plan aims to promote the county's revitalization and development by stimulating new construction and the rehabilitation, conservation, and redevelopment of areas. Key objectives include stabilizing neighborhoods, providing incentives for affordable housing, encouraging property owners to improve existing or construct new commercial and residential buildings, and enhancing rental properties. This comprehensive approach is designed to increase the County's tax base, improve the quality of life, address housing shortages, and meet workforce demands within the county.

The agenda meeting includes the approval of appropriations for the accounts payable register and requests for approval of added, abated, escaped, or refunded taxes by the County Clerk. Other business involves the presentation of the KCAMP Risk Management Achievement Award, the ratification of a firewall upgrade purchase for the IT department, and the award of a bid for contracted cleaning and custodial services. Additionally, the commission will hold an executive session, discuss personnel changes, and conduct various department updates including a financial update, a conservation district program update, and a mid-size SUV bid review.

The agenda meeting includes the presentation of proclamations for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month. Additional items include the annual review of a conditional land use permit, new board appointments for the Barton County Planning Commission, and the consideration of a rebuild for a landfill compactor. The Commission will also address requests for proposals for cloud storage and contracted cleaning services, discuss financial assistance for a childcare facility in Claflin, and review a resolution to establish a temporary burn ban due to fire hazards.
