This Action Plan Template is designed to assist Pennsylvania teachers in implementing the Pennsylvania Science, Environmental Literacy and Sustainability, and Technology and Engineering Standards. It outlines five priority areas: Curriculum, Assessment, Professional Development, Leveraging Cross-Content Connections, and Communication. The plan aims to provide aligned instructional resources, develop standards-aligned assessments, facilitate high-quality professional learning, identify cross-curricular connections, and establish effective communication systems among stakeholders.

The program also highlights the need for stakeholder education, staff development, and infrastructure improvements to support its vision.

This Health and Safety Plan Summary outlines the York Suburban School District's comprehensive approach to ensuring a safe educational environment. It details policies for preventing and mitigating health risks in alignment with CDC and state guidance, while also ensuring the continuity of academic, social, emotional, and mental health services for students and staff. The plan addresses key areas such as mask protocols, physical distancing, hygiene practices, facility maintenance, contact tracing, isolation and quarantine procedures, diagnostic testing, vaccination support, accommodations for students with disabilities, and coordination with health officials.

The board meeting included an overview of the proposed General Operating Budget for 2024-2025. Job descriptions for educational services were reviewed and an online learning secretary position was adopted. Various action items were approved, including agreements with Turning Points, LLC, Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, Supplemental Health Care, CONNECTED, and Herbein. Additionally, the board addressed personnel actions involving resignations, a retirement, and staff appointments, as well as the approval of comprehensive financial reports.

The committee reviewed and recommended for full Board action the 2022-23 personnel recommendations, which included the elimination of several teaching and support positions through attrition and the creation of various new instructional and support roles. Additionally, the Committee Chair provided updates on recent legislative activity regarding House Bill 2169 and changes to charter school regulations.
