The Strategic Plan Framework for SVSU provides a clear roadmap to strengthen the university's impact and support student success. It is built around six strategic priorities: Academic Excellence and The Student Experience, Campus Climate and Cultural Excellence, Holistic Enrollment Growth, Elevate Market Position, Safety and Operational Excellence, and Community Partnerships and Engagement. These priorities collectively aim to create an exceptional student experience, fostering academic achievement, a sense of belonging, and opportunities for students to excel in their careers and communities, aligning with the mission to transform lives through engaged education.

The Board of Control discussed the basis of presentation, reporting entity, and basis of accounting. The operating revenues consist of tuition and fees, grants and contracts, sales and services, and auxiliary enterprises revenue. The nonoperating revenues include State appropriations, Federal PELL Grant Program, gifts, investment income, capital appropriations and capital grants and gifts.

The Student Success Plan assesses student success initiatives, identifies gaps, and recommends improvements. It emphasizes data-driven insights, inclusivity, and a student-centered approach. Key recommendations include integrating six dimensions of student success into the university culture, continuous policy review, broadening student success programming for marginalized populations, and centralizing student success efforts and offices to enhance coordination and efficiency.
