South Side Area School District Work Session Voting Meeting
The board reviewed reports regarding facility improvements, including paving and gym floor work. Personnel actions were taken, involving resignations and new hires for staff positions and marching band roles. Various student/parent and employee handbooks for the upcoming school year were approved. Policy matters included the first reading of several updates to nonresident student, medication, and electronic device policies, alongside the reapproval of the bullying and cyberbullying policy. Additional business included approving service agreements with educational and medical institutions, authorizing an advertisement for heating oil, approving student field trips and cooperative sports agreements, authorizing the replacement of an air-conditioning unit, and the payment of outstanding bills.
