This document outlines the first-ever National Action Plan for COPD, established with five key goals. Developed through a collaborative effort involving federal and non-federal partners, patient representatives, and healthcare providers, the plan aims to strategically address and curb the mortality and morbidity associated with COPD through a coordinated, multi-stakeholder approach.

The strategic plan for Thomas County School System outlines a comprehensive approach to district improvement, engaging all stakeholders. It focuses on five key areas: Student Achievement, Learning Environment, Operational Support, Continuous Improvement, and Parent and Community Support. The plan aims to provide innovative opportunities that prepare world-class students with the skills, knowledge, and positive values necessary for success as productive citizens after graduation, by fostering a safe, respectful learning environment, continuous staff development, and fiscal responsibility.

This Parent and Family Engagement Policy/Plan for the Thomas County Schools System outlines the district's commitment to strengthening student academic achievement through meaningful parental and family engagement, in compliance with Section 1116(a)(2) of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The plan details how the district will jointly develop programs, provide technical assistance, conduct annual evaluations, manage reserved funds, coordinate services, and build capacity among both parents and school staff. It aims to ensure parents play an integral role in their child's learning, are actively involved in education, and act as full partners in decision-making.

The board meeting covered several key business items including the development timeline for the upcoming fiscal year budget, a first reading of a revised policy regarding bids and quotations, and a review of the mid-year budget recommendations. The board approved a revised allocation of the SPLOST IV budget, bid recommendations for painting services at Cross Creek Elementary School and the purchase of high school band instruments, and the renewal of an FCA lease. Additionally, the board conducted an executive session regarding personnel matters and subsequently approved the personnel report.

The board meeting addressed several key operational and financial matters. The Superintendent provided an update on stadium seating, specifically regarding the addition of wheelchair-accessible areas in the reserved section. The board reviewed and approved the bid recommendation for the HVAC replacement project at Thomas County Middle School, which will be financed through state capital outlay funds and ESPLOST V. Additionally, the board reviewed and approved the personnel report.
