Jurupa Valley City Council Regular Meeting
The City Council held a closed session to discuss pending litigation matters. A joint study session took place regarding the Rubidoux and Glen Avon Town Center plans. Key items included a dedication in memory of Audrey Phyllis Reitman Berkson, a presentation regarding the Pet of the Month, and various updates from the City Manager. The Council approved several consent calendar items, including a construction contract for the Eddie D. Smith Senior Center paint refresh, an amendment to a consultant services agreement for geotechnical engineering, an operating memorandum for utility improvements on Pyrite Street, and professional services agreements for landscape plan check and inspection services. Additionally, the Council introduced and conducted the first reading of an ordinance amending home occupation regulations and continued a public hearing regarding a Zoning Code amendment for bus dispatch facilities. A presentation was provided regarding affordable housing development incentives, and Council members provided updates on their respective regional board and commission meetings.
