The commission reviewed and acted on five cases involving land use and development. Decisions included recommending the abandonment of a street right-of-way, dedicating land for the Main Street Commons Project, approving special use permits for ancillary parking lots, and conditionally approving the construction of a new building for the Susan B. Anthony Museum and House. Additionally, the commission legalized the conversion of an attic space into an apartment unit.

The board reviewed and acted upon several property applications. Approvals were granted for a hot tub installation and various exterior upgrades at 44 East Blvd. Additionally, the board approved applications for window replacements at 65-67 Oxford Street and an air conditioning unit at 22 Vick Park A, subject to specific historical compliance and landscaping conditions. A proposal to construct a greenhouse at 900 East Avenue was held, requiring the applicant to submit further documentation, including a site plan and detailed elevations, for future review.

The Council conducted a regular meeting covering various legislative and administrative items. Key topics included the authorization of numerous agreements related to the 2026-27 Annual Action Plan, encompassing areas such as housing, business development, youth programming, and senior services. The Council also addressed infrastructure projects like the Broadway and South Union Street improvements, Riverway project financing, and various environmental remediation and site preparation efforts. Additionally, budgetary matters, tax levies for the upcoming fiscal year, and various municipal code amendments concerning fees and regulations were processed.

The commission addressed the adoption of job specifications for the Coordinator of Environmental Programming. It also reviewed a request from the Rochester Police Department regarding the lateral transfer of two police officers from the Irondequoit Police Department. Additionally, an executive session was held to render final decisions on eight police officer candidate appeals.

The Zoning Board of Appeals reviewed and rendered decisions on several cases concerning property modifications. Approvals, some with conditions or lesser relief, were granted for driveway expansions, garage conversions, fence installations, and commercial signage. One case regarding a fence installation at 80 Irvington Road was held for a future hearing.
