Council of the Township of Faraday Regular Meeting
The council conducted a public meeting to deliberate on a zoning amendment for Part Lot 32, Concession 8. Key business included expressing support for various initiatives, such as the proclamation of Infant Loss Awareness Day and Month, advocating for sustainable public library funding, and requesting a review of producer responsibility for single-use propane cylinders. Concerns were raised regarding the ALTO project, prompting a call for the establishment of a Municipal Advisory Table. The council also approved monthly accounts, reviewed and accepted several departmental reports, and authorized the cancellation of the November meeting. Furthermore, the council delegated authority for tax cancellations and refunds to the Assessment Review Board, passed necessary zoning and confirming by-laws, and held a closed session to address matters of litigation, legal advice, personnel, and labour relations, resulting in the appointment of a new Roads Superintendent.
