This strategic plan for East Greenwich Public Schools is committed to genuinely knowing, supporting, and celebrating every student in meeting their full potential. It outlines four key priorities: Excellence in Instruction, Inclusive Systems of Support, Equitable Access to Learning for All, and Engagement and Belonging. The plan aims to ensure a high-quality education system that prepares all students to be knowledgeable, skilled, connected, and reflective, enabling them to successfully pursue academics, work, and life after graduation.

The subcommittee reviewed a report on the district's annual cleaning audit, highlighting performance at the high school. Agenda items included an update on the Cole Middle School boiler replacement project and a discussion regarding funding for a new water heater project. The committee addressed aesthetic improvements for ceilings at East Greenwich High School and evaluated district capital priorities, specifically regarding Meadowbrook School's early childhood programming, the need for a boiler replacement at Meadowbrook, and a strategy for expanding security camera coverage using repurposed equipment.

The committee meeting agenda includes recognition of retirees and employees of the year, executive sessions for job performance discussions, and superintendent reports on district updates such as graduation activities, budget deliberations, school construction, and enrollment applications. Action items include the approval of employment contract templates, salary increases for various administrative and director-level roles, out-of-state field trips, orientation and mobility service agreements, and multiple bid awards for elementary staffing analysis, boiler replacement, transportation, and employee assistance programs. Additionally, the committee will consider a resolution to request the reinstatement of the state PAYGO school construction program.

The committee held an executive session followed by an open meeting. Key topics included a presentation on the redistricting plan for elementary schools, updates from the superintendent regarding district events, construction, school personnel, and monthly budget projections. The committee also awarded contracts for before and after school care, approved new job descriptions and employment contract templates, finalized MOAs for Fourth of July holidays, granted a homeschool request, and approved a revised school calendar. Additionally, the committee conducted a first reading of several new and revised district policies and heard public feedback regarding policy creation and communication.

The meeting featured a Superintendent's report covering district-wide staff appreciation, town budget deliberations, school construction and redistricting updates, and kindergarten and pre-K registration. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the review and development of the strategic planning process, focusing on mission, priorities, and goals. The Committee also reviewed and approved a five-year technology hardware refresh plan to be presented to the Town Council for a municipal financing lease agreement.
