Jefferson County Board Meeting Minutes
The Board meeting included recognition of proclamations for Older Americans Month and Foster Care Month, and an introduction of the Jefferson County Fairest of the Fair and artists from the Hoard Art Show. An education session was held on the state of EMS in the county. Several resolutions were passed, including those supporting the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program, urging incorporation of local feedback in ATCP 51, strengthening responses to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza, accepting a proposal for the Fair Park Master Plan, authorizing the purchase of asphalt rollers for the Highway Department, and approving changes to the Rural Functional Classification System. Additionally, ordinances regarding speed zones on County Trunk Highways, personnel ordinance amendments concerning hours of work, and zoning map amendments were approved. Appointments to the Zoning Board of Adjustment were confirmed.
