The Board of Education meeting included discussions on personnel matters. Staff resignations were noted for both classified and coaching staff. Discussion items included the elementary music teacher position, district salary schedules, health/life/dental insurance, summer projects, preschool calendar, KABOOM Playground Project, MS steps grant pursuit, November Bond Question, Technology MOU with Steamboat Springs School District, audit contract, property/liability insurance, and fuel, propane, trash bids. The Superintendent's Report covered elementary principal hiring, food distribution, EOY Student Surveys, graduation ceremony, Northwest Colorado BOCES Agreement, asbestos abatement plan, and policy on electronic participation in board meetings. Action items focused on health/life/dental insurance, the preschool calendar, the November bond ballot question, the audit contract, fuel, propane and trash bids, asbestos abatement, and the BEST Grant.
