The Universidad Central del Caribe's strategic plan is guided by three broad goals for the period of 2022-2025. These goals include positioning the institution as the premier choice for health professions and biomedical research careers, fostering innovation in educational approaches and healthcare service models, and establishing leadership in Puerto Rico through ethical practices, social responsibility, and eco-friendly initiatives. The plan aims to prepare high-quality health professionals and biomedical scientists with a humanistic focus and strong moral obligation.
This strategic development plan aims to reinforce institutional foundations and guide future endeavors, serving as a central reference for decision-making and the pursuit of excellence. The plan outlines five strategic goals: establishing mechanisms for new academic programs and strengthening current ones, increasing research activities in basic, clinical, and behavioral sciences, expanding clinical services and professional development, strengthening student services to foster an optimal learning environment, and maximizing technology for institutional efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The overarching vision is to prepare high-quality, compassionate health professionals who promote healthy lifestyles, provide excellent service with ethical values, and contribute to improving the quality of life in the Puerto Rican community.
