The board discussed and approved a real estate transaction regarding an offer from Paul and Amanda Thomas to purchase multiple lots in the Olivia Farms 2nd Plat for the amount of $12,000.

The Commission addressed various financial and administrative matters, including the appropriation ordinance and ambulance contractual adjustments. Special presentations provided updates on an environmental assessment at Freeman Field Airport and the Great Geary Community Foundation Match Day. Multiple proclamations were issued for World Polio Day, Extra Mile Day, and Fire Prevention Month. New business included a discussion on plans for a new public library, approval for emergency grant activities, and the authorization of CDBG-CV funds. The Commission approved Resolution R-2957, awarded bids for the renovation of North Park Field #4, rejected a bid for municipal office space remodeling, ratified a labor agreement with the Fire Fighters Association, and approved service plans for ambulance equipment, traffic preemption devices, and street improvements.

The Commission addressed several financial, contractual, and administrative items. Key actions included approving the 2019 Audit, authorizing a lease-purchase agreement for assets, purchasing a customer analytics portal, and amending the Police Officers Association contract. The Commission also approved sharing forfeited asset funds with the Geary County Sheriff's Office, authorized grant certifications and an MOU for justice assistance, and approved the purchase of police tactical equipment including gas masks and M4 rifles. Fire department applications for CARES Act relief and philanthropy grants were approved. Additionally, the Commission awarded a bid for pothole patch material, authorized KDOT funding, and approved various easements and land acquisitions for roadway construction.

The board reviewed and approved several property purchase offers. These included the sale of Lots 11, 12, and 13, Block 4 of Manns Ranch Addition Unit No. 1 to Danielle Pruitt; Lots 27, 28, and 29, Block 2 of Manns Ranch Addition Unit No. 2 to Gultekin and Doris Pitts; Lot 42, Block 4 of Sutter Highlands Subdivision to Alexander and Brianna Winfrey; Lot 24, Block 4 of Sutter Highlands Subdivision to Keith and Rebecca Egan; and Lots 36, 37, 38, and 39, Block 2 of Manns Ranch Addition Unit No. 2 to Jason and Cassandra Budinas. Additionally, an offer from Mo and Ashley Elmir for Lots 22 and 23, Block 2 of Manns Ranch Addition Unit No. 2 was reviewed and rejected.

The Commission addressed several items including the approval of Appropriation Ordinance A-18 and various appointments to the Airport Advisory Board. Key actions included the approval of ordinances to vacate portions of alley right-of-ways, a change order for the 2020 KDOT CCLIP project, and an agreement with Geary County for road overlay work. Additionally, the Commission authorized a grant application for the KDOT Kansas Airport Improvement Program, approved the purchase of a used trailer, and passed ordinances amending temporary sign permits and the annual organization of the City Commission.
