The meeting included discussions on Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) programs, revisions to lecture/load course loads, and updates on the Dental Hygiene Bachelor's Degree pilot program. Curriculum questions were raised regarding AP credit acceptance and the adoption of a Gen. Ed. pattern. Recognition was given to the FHC Environmental Horticulture program and Cara for awards received. Additionally, there was a mention of a memorial for Nancy Alvarez.

The Board of Trustees convened to discuss various topics, including a conference with real property negotiators regarding the University Development Area and NASA Research Park. They also considered student expulsion cases and discussed labor negotiations. The board reviewed and approved a compensation settlement with the Faculty Association for 2014-2015. Additionally, they discussed a feasibility study for the Flint Parking Garage/Center and authorized the issuance of general obligation refunding bonds. Approvals were granted for the purchase of police radios, repairs to a damaged solar panel canopy, chiller replacement, and pool boiler replacement. Several Measure E and Measure C projects were also reviewed and approved, including budget transfers, site leases, and contract awards for various construction and renovation projects.

This document outlines the college's annual strategic objectives for the 2018-19 academic year, serving to operationalize the Educational Master Plan and prioritize college resources. The plan focuses on four key areas: revising the student equity plan to close equity gaps and increase enrollments, achieving 1% growth in access, equity, and success metrics under the new state funding formula, infusing service leadership into instructional and student services, and implementing and evaluating new governance effectiveness. These objectives aim to provide organizational focus and direction, aligning with the Educational Master Plan's goals of Equity, Community, and Improvement and Stewardship of Resources.
