This Local Accountability Plan (LCAP) for the Ontario-Montclair School District outlines the strategic allocation of funds, particularly Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) resources, to enhance educational outcomes. It leverages various funding sources to implement actions aimed at addressing achievement gaps, improving attendance, and supporting academic and social-emotional development for all students, particularly those with high needs.

The Board of Trustees conducted a regular meeting to address several key business items, including the presentation and adoption of the 2026-2027 district budget and a special education local plan area annual budget. The meeting included presentations regarding the exchange of district land for a city hall annex, the adoption of various resolutions concerning fund balances, and the ordering of the governing board member election. Additionally, the Board reviewed and approved numerous purchasing and service contracts, including those for software licensing, maintenance, food services, and professional development programs.

The board conducted several key actions, including receiving a presentation on the proposed 2026-2027 district budget and holding public hearings on fund balances, the budget, the Special Education Local Plan Area annual budget plan, and the Local Control Accountability Plan. Additionally, the board approved various items such as personnel recommendations, contract renewals for services including software subscriptions, technical support, and maintenance agreements, and the renaming of Vineyard Elementary School to Vineyard STEAM Academy. Memoranda of Understanding with the teachers' association regarding staff retention, incentives, and stipends were also reviewed and adopted.

The Board discussed the adoption of a revised resolution regarding the termination of services for classified employees due to lack of work or funds. This revision addresses a clerical error from a previous resolution and formalizes adjustments to staffing levels for the upcoming school year, including the termination of specific services, implementation of bumping rights, and the restoration of hours for school bus drivers.
