The committee reviewed and approved bills for the County Veterans Service Office for the previous month. Furthermore, the committee approved the proposed office budget for 2026. Additionally, the committee authorized overnight travel requests for staff to attend both the fall 2025 and spring 2026 state association conferences. General office activities and functions were also discussed.

The committee discussed updates regarding the Drug Court program, including progress reports, the implementation of the new phase structure per All Rise guidelines, and efforts to increase program referrals while ensuring candidates meet necessary requirements. Additionally, the committee explored the potential for collaborating with Lafayette County for the upcoming grant cycle application.

The commission reviewed the monthly financial report and approved payment for legal counsel invoices. Updates were provided on Wisconsin & Southern Railroad operations, including plans for the Merrimac Bridge opening and track infrastructure upgrades. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation reported on ongoing negotiations for bridge engineering and subdivision agreements. Additionally, the commission approved Attachment 17 to the operating agreement, heard a presentation regarding a rail economic impact study, and discussed administrative and operational updates related to Iowa County membership.

The meeting included a review of invoices and project costs by the Sheriff. A public bid opening was conducted for the Green County Jail and Sheriff's Office early procurement package, with a review process established for upcoming award recommendations. The committee received updates on the required relocation of utilities at the highway facility, the status of the RFP for highway facility design, and general maintenance reports regarding various county properties. Discussions were also held regarding potential upgrades to the audio-visual system and furniture in the county board room, with plans to gather quotes for further evaluation. Additionally, the committee reviewed and approved pending bills.
