The meeting included a presentation on the Guaranteed Energy Savings Program, a report from the Finance Committee, and a review of various policies. The committee also discussed board member compensation and recommended an increase for the vice president's compensation in 2025-2026.
The agenda included a fall enrollment report, discussion of NDSBA opportunities for board member development, and school board committee appointments for 2025-2026. The board approved the guaranteed maximum price related to the demolition of the Carl Ben Eielson school building and perimeter fencing for the new Nathan F. Twining school building. Amanda Weston Caillier was introduced as the Air Base's new military family life counselor (MFLC).
The meeting included an update on the Consolidated Grant Application for 2025-2026 Federal Title Funding, which reported an overall decrease in federal title funding. There was a discussion regarding school board compensation and comparisons with other school districts. The board also considered and approved an increase in prices for elementary breakfast, elementary lunch, secondary breakfast, secondary lunch, and adult breakfast.
