This document is a Comprehensive Community Needs Assessment for Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation, designed to serve as a guide for obtaining and interpreting valuable feedback on the recreation needs and priorities of residents. It aims to lay the foundation for a new vision, goals, and future strategic plans for the Department. Key findings, synthesized from various engagement methods including stakeholder interviews, focus groups, community meetings, and surveys, identify top facility needs such as beaches, multi-use trails, and shaded areas, as well as top program needs like nature/environmental enjoyment, outdoor adventure recreation, and health and wellness. The assessment emphasizes addressing population growth, enhancing safety, accessibility, sustainability, improving marketing, and maintaining existing infrastructure.
