The budget includes estimated beginning and ending fund balances, receipts/revenues from local, state, and federal sources, and disbursements/expenditures for various funds including Educational Operations & Maintenance, Debt Service, Transportation, and Municipal Retirement/Social Security. It covers expenditures for instruction, support services, community services, and payments to other districts and government units.

The meeting included a review of accounts, discussion of ISBE "S" Fund applications for Pioneer Grove and SELF programs, and a security camera project at Pioneer Grove. Recommendations for Transportation ESY staff pay and 2025-26 compensation were presented. The Governing Board's actions from the March meeting were summarized, covering items such as Infinitec membership renewal, agreements with Sikich LLC and District #122, school calendar amendments, and staff dismissals. Updates were provided on staff, program enrollment, building and grounds projects, technology, and transportation ridership. The committee also discussed House Bill 2390 and Senate Bill 1799, which relate to guidelines for withdrawing from a joint agreement district and limitations on contracting agency staff.

A tentative budget for the district for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025, will be available for public inspection. A public hearing on said budget will be held at Lincoln-Way Area Special Education.

The committee discussed financial matters, including a review of accounts and fuel costs. The Director's report included a summary of Governing Board action, a staff and program update with enrollment numbers, and space needs at Pioneer Grove.
