The committee held a regular meeting to discuss a project amendment request for the Conurs Creek Habitat Diversification and Enhancement Project. The discussion focused on adapting the project scope due to significant erosion caused by winter storms, which rendered the original channel reconnection plan infeasible. Proposed changes involve adding complex log structures, bank stabilization treatments, and large wood installations to protect side channels and improve habitat quality for salmonids and native amphibians. Financial adjustments were confirmed with no changes to the total grant award, reallocating funds to address rising material and labor costs. The committee also touched on the inclusion of land trust community feedback regarding the land transaction manual and potential site visits to verify changing landscape conditions.

The Commission addressed a request from the Winchester Water Control District and held a vote to issue an order denying a stay request. Additionally, the Commission expressed appreciation for staff efforts regarding the presentation of budget information and strategic planning before formally adjourning the meeting.
