The Batavia Park District is adopting a combined annual budget and appropriating funds for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2026, and ending December 31, 2026. The budget includes allocations for various funds such as the General Corporate Fund, General Recreation Fund, Swimming Facility, Museum Fund, Paving and Lighting Fund, Special Recreation Fund, Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, Social Security Fund, Audit Fund, Liability Fund, Capital Development Fund, and Debt Service. The ordinance estimates cash on hand, expected cash receipts, contemplated expenditures, and the amount of property taxes to be received during the fiscal year.

The special board meeting included the appointment of the Director of Finance as the Authorized IMRF Agent for the Batavia Park District. The proposed Fiscal Year 2026 Budget was presented and discussed, with each member of the Leadership Team highlighting their proposed projects and addressing questions from the Board.

The meeting included a presentation on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan, highlighting priorities for the District to assist in budgetary and short and long-term planning. The Annual Operations Report for the Hall Quarry Beach 2025 Season was shared. Announcements were made regarding STEAM-based programs, basketball leagues, and upcoming events. Updates were provided on the budget, Clark Island project, bond issuances, and various park facility improvements. The board approved the Batavia Park District Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan and Resolution #314, authorizing the accumulation of funds for ADA compliance.

The Batavia Park District is authorized to dispose of personal property that it deems is no longer needed or useful. The Board of Commissioners finds that the property described in Exhibit A is no longer needed or useful and authorizes the Executive Director to sell or dispose of the property described in Exhibit A in a manner not inconsistent with the Park Code or direction of the Board.
