California Energy Commission Business Meeting
The Commission addressed several administrative and policy matters, including the adoption of forms and instructions for electricity resource plans, the approval of an exceptional method for analyzing greenhouse designs, and the validation of locally adopted energy efficiency standards for the cities of Ojai and Moreno Valley. Furthermore, the meeting involved the approval of the Electric Program Investment Charge 2025 Annual Report, a membership agreement with the National Association of State Energy Officials, and a co-sponsorship purchase order for the 2026 ET Summit. Numerous loan and grant agreements were approved, including projects for Visalia Unified School District, Plumas District Hospital, and various energy infrastructure initiatives involving electric vehicle charging, grid hardening, and microgrid research. Finally, the Commission handled the appointment of a member to the Disadvantaged Communities Advisory Group and adopted the 2026-2027 Investment Plan Update for the Clean Transportation Program and the EPIC 5 Investment Plan for 2026-2030.
