The 2026-2029 City of St. Albert Council Strategic Plan outlines the City Council's long-term vision, priorities, and strategic direction over a four-year term. It focuses on three key strategic priority areas: robust economy and responsible growth, community well-being, and fiscally responsible governance and accountability. The plan aims to guide administrative initiatives, align budget planning, and support decision-making to foster the community's growth, enhance transparency, strengthen partnerships, and ensure environmental conservation, ultimately responding to the evolving needs of the community.

The meeting included a presentation by the Greater St. Albert Catholic School Board regarding their capital plan and new school projects. The council addressed agenda reordering and approved a consent agenda covering various policy updates, committee appointments, and reports. Additionally, the council received a quarterly policing update that highlighted trends in well-being checks, domestic violence, and targeted shoplifting incidents, alongside responses to major operational incidents.

It aims to foster economic growth and diversification through strategic investments in business districts and infrastructure.
